T O P I C R E V I E WbullseyeIs it a Taurus thing to feel insanely inferior to everyone? For me it usually happens with guys. I never end up trying because I have this nagging in the back of my head that tells me I'm nothing. Is it like the Taurus female to put her interests on sale pedestal? To Run away and be sad or wait on their advance versus being confident and playing things cool?Gosh, it took seeing him like two pictures of a model esque girl to make me shudder and write him off. I'm annoying myself because it's so illogical and silly but in a way I keep saying "What's the point?" lalalindaHello bullseye! Welcome to LL YinThere is nothing wrong with you. Some of the most sensual, beautiful, feminine women I know are Taurus.ThefishBullseye,Taurean women tend to be the opposite so either your sun is aspected poorly/afflicted/or in the 12th house or it could be other planets in your chart like venus or saturn causing insecurity issues.bullseye http://alabe.com/cgi-bin/chart/pics/2456104965677.gif LonakeWell it's in opp to Pluto, and placed in the 7th, so that's the first thing that stands out to me. There was another member here, I don't remember their Sun sign, but with the same opp, and there were issues with self worth in regards to relationships. I would look at the relationship with the father, try to fix that, first, work on any losses there or abuse. But the chart was rather hard to read the way it was set up, maybe you can post the astro.com chart with solar arc & progressed and I'll see if anything else pops out, in placidus.hannaramaa quote:Originally posted by bullseye:Is it a Taurus thing to feel insanely inferior to everyone? I'm annoying myself because it's so illogical and silly but in a way I keep saying "What's the point?" I have a Taurus moon and I think the same thing. Tons of people tell me I'm pretty, or that I should do modeling (and I don't go around asking.) but if my crush looks at someone prettier or is laughing with someone prettier, I feel defeated inside. I'm an Aries though so you know... I'd never show it.vertiverIts not a Taurus thing, but a self-esteem issue. I have the same problem and aspects in the chart that point to it, my Venus-Saturn opposition makes it hard for me to open to someone and once I do I feel so vulnerable and if the person is not reciprocating my love and admiration I become highly paranoid and possessive of the person I'm with in fear that I'll lose them, but when it comes down to it, loosing them isn't that bad compared to the vicious thoughts that were running through my head when I was in the relationship. Instead work on nourishing yourself, do art projects, go out with the girls, whatever, just something that empowers you and makes you feel you have a more solid understanding of yourself. There is nothing wrong with you!FaithThird decan Taurus does have self-esteem issues, usually because you are so open, expressive, and freedom-loving...you put your heart on your sleeve, and sometimes people have a negative reaction to that. This results in a painful childhood, lots of negative feedback. Still, you are who you are. Some people LOVE you for it and actually envy you, because they feel very constrained, whereas you really know how to put yourself out there. It's a beautiful thing, your honesty...if you learn how to reveal yourself more selectively you might find less people "triggering" what are actually old self-esteem issues. Edit: My south node is in third decan Taurus so I can really relate to what you are saying, even though I'm a Cap sun.ScatterShockHello Bullseye. I looked at your chart and most of our planets are in the same signs! The only difference being your Gemini Moon to my Pisces Moon. (I don't really point much to planet positions or aspects, but hope that I can help a little. )I don't believe that it's a Taurus thing to feel inferior to others in general, and likely not when it comes to people we're 'interested' in. However, I also tend to write off any chances of someone being interested in me, and rationalize it by focusing on other things in my life. When I find myself liking someone, I just remind myself that even if he could be interested in me, nothing would come of it so I should just ignore the possibility. Is something like that what you mean when you say you 'run away'? About the looks thing- I am inclined to think that that is more a social thing than something tied to a specific planet or house position. Do you live somewhere where there the pressure to attain a kind of standard of appearance is difficult to defy or ignore? I definitely *don't* mean that you should consider trying to attain such a standard, but rather that maybe you feel unsure of yourself because of something that you can fight by looking it in the face. You know what I mean? Please correct me on this point, I'm guessing. Please don't think that because you might not look like the girls your guy of interest seems to like that he couldn't also like how you look or be drawn to you. It's more important to believe in your own brand of beauty or appeal. That's the road I'm trying to walk down, at least! P.S: What do you mean when you say "...to put her interests on sale pedestal"? I'm not familiar with that phrase. freebrainstorms quote:Originally posted by vertiver:Instead work on nourishing yourself, do art projects, go out with the girls, whatever, just something that empowers you and makes you feel you have a more solid understanding of yourself.
